Jimi Hendrix finally topped the US album charts on Nov. 16, 1968 when The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s 3rd and final LP “Electric Ladyland” hit the #1 position. It would stay there for 2 weeks. The LP only made it to #6 in the UK.

The record included the Bob Dylan penned song “All Along The Watchtower” which was the bands highest charting single.

Many critics say that of the 3 LP’s originally released by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, that this was their best work.

Would you agree? And, do you or should we say ‘can you’ remember the first time you heard Hendrix?
