The guest stars on the Nov. 22, 1957 episode of ABC-TV’s dance show ‘American Bandstand’ was the singing duo “Tom and Jerry.”

They performed their song “Hey Little Schoolgirl” which was a minor hit at the time.

Although ‘Tom and Jerry’ did make it to ‘Bandstand’, they would have much greater success in a couple of years when they decided to use their real names and call themselves Simon & Garfunkel.

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel had been school friends and we would have to agree that using their own names worked a little better.

We don’t believe there is any footage from the show, so here’s the best we can do, the audio of “Hey Little Schoolgirl.”

We know that all of you are to young to remember this. Right?
