The Who performed their first gig under their new name at London’s Marquee Club on Nov. 24, 1964. They promised what the poster famously call “Maximum R&B.” Before this show, they had been known as ‘The High Numbers”.
So we do not think we are to far off to say ‘Happy 53rd Birthday to The Who’!!!!
If you knew you were going to be stuck on a desert island, and you knew that there was going to be a working record player there (don’t ask how, just play along) and you could only bring 1 record by The Who, what record would you bring? (Please this is about The Who so don’t say I wouldn’t bring anything by them, again, just play along).
