Back in 1993, Country music artist Travis Tritt decided he wanted to do a cover of “Take It Easy” by the Eagles. He also decided that for the video he wanted the Eagles to be his band. The problem was, the Eagles hadn’t been together since 1980. (Ok here is where we cut through all the management / agent deals, record company crap etc.)

On Dec 6, 1993, there was a video shoot for Travis Tritt’s cover of the song. The Eagles ( Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit and Don Felder) were Tritt’s band for the video just like he wanted.

Surprisingly, (refer to our part about cutting through the crap) the Eagles decided to record some new material and what the hell, while were at it, do a tour. Remember when they said they would work together again ‘when hell freezes over’? Guess what they named the tour.

So, 24 years ago today, ‘thanks to Travis Tritt’, the Eagles got back together. Welcome to the $100.00 concert tickets. (Travis had had the mullet for a while already)
