We are all blessed that we can still hear his voice through his recorded music. And many of us were blessed to see him perform live.

29 years ago today, on Dec. 6, 1988, the music world lost the legendary Roy Orbison at the age of 52.

Roy’s music became part of the pop music landscape. His career wasn’t what he had hoped for by the 80’s, but he had some pretty big fans.

In 1988, he joined Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne to put together what is in our humble opinion, the greatest ‘super group’ ever assembled, the Traveling Wilburys. It was what his career needed. He passed away later that year.

Truly an American Treasure.

How many of you know the words to “Pretty Woman”??

RIP Roy. Thank you.
