Iron Maiden finally had a number one song in the UK on Jan. 5, 1991 when their single “Bring Your Daughter…to the Slaughter” went to the top of the charts. It would only stay their for one week and it was the only time they would get that high on the charts.

The song was recorded for the movie “A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child.” It was on Maiden’s LP “No Prayer for the Dying”.

It was surprising that the song made it to number one as the BBC’s Radio 1 refused to play the song.

It was never released in the US as a single.

How many of you remember the song / movie?
