Written by megarock on March 5, 2018
A new band from the UK, called “The Mannish Boys” released their first single, “I Pity The Fool,” on March. 5, 1965. It wasn’t really a hit.
You may wonder why we are posting about it. “The Mannish Boys” lead singer was none other than David Jones.
Not the one from The Monkees. This one would soon change his name to David Bowie.
Here is a very young David Bowie, 52 years ago.
RIP David. You are still missed by so many.
Original released 5 March 1965 as The Manish Boys, Parlophone 5250 (alt. take issued without notice on Early On).
