When Joe Walsh wasn’t recording with The James Gang or the Eagles, he was doing his solo projects. On March 10, 1981, Joe released his fifth solo LP “There Goes the Neighborhood.”
The album features contributions from two Eagles’ members Don Felder and Timothy B. Schmit. The album peaked at number 20 on Billboard 200. The album only spawned one single, “A Life of Illusion”, which would become one of Walsh’s most popular songs. The single also topped the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
When was the last time you listened to something by Joe and was “There Goes the Neighborhood” something that you listened to very often?
Happy 37th Birthday to “There Goes the Neighborhood”!!!
