CROSBY, STILLS, NASH Woodstock 1971

Written by on March 28, 2018

We think we are pretty safe in saying that Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s version of Joni Mitchell’s song “Woodstock” is pretty much the theme song of a generation.

On March 28, 1970, CSN&Y released their version as a single. It was off of their “Deja Vu” LP which had been released on March 11th of that year.

Here is a little known fact that you may or may not know…. The version of the song that was used in the movie was a different recording than the single.

The video we are showing here is of the movie version. For some people, they see this and it brings back great memories of being there. For the rest, it is somewhere we wish we would have been…

Would you agree with our claim of it being the theme for a generation, and, how many of you were really there?
