It may not have been the most important ‘meeting’ in the history of Rock and Roll, but we would say it was in the top 5…
On April 7, 1962, a couple of unknown London musicians went to a show by Alexis Korner’s Blues Incorporated at the Ealing Jazz Club. The two musicians met another unknown musician and they struck up a conversation and decided to play some music together.
The first two musician we are talking about were Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. The guy they met was Brian Jones.
Normally we would say happy birthday, but they were yet to put a band together. So Happy Meeting each other day to what would become The Rolling Stones!
Ever wonder what would have happened to them if they never met?
56 years ago today. wow.
