The Beatles released their 12th and final LP “Let It Be” on May 8, 1970. It was released almost a month after the group had broke-up.
The album started out being named “Get Back,” where the band was hoping tp return to their earlier, less complicated approach to music. It was recorded and projected for release before their album “Abbey Road,” which came out in 1969.
Because “Let It Be” was suppose to be released before “Abbey Road”, there are those who say that some Abbey Road should be considered the group’s final album.
Do you have an opinion on which record should be called their last or, are you like us and just wish they would have made more?
Happy 48th Birthday to The Beatles’ LP “Let It Be”!!!
