Pink Floyd’s acclaimed 1973 classic “Dark Side of the Moon” has spent over 900 weeks on the Billboard 200 album chart. That’s over 16 (non-consecutive) years!

Of all those weeks on the charts, the LP was only at #1, for one week. When the new Billboard Album Charts came out on April 26, 1973, DSOTM was at #1. The next week, Elvis knocked it out of the top spot.

One of the biggest albums in history, and it was only on top of the charts for one week, 44 years ago today.

Have you owned more than one copy of the album? (By copy we mean vinyl, 8 track, cassette, CD or download).
