There are Rolls Royces and then there are “Rolls Royces.”

On June 29, 1985, John Lennon’s 1965 Rolls Royce Phantom V sold for $2,299.000.00 at an auction for New York’s Cooper-Hewitt museum.

The car was famous for the painted groovy psychedelic colors that resembled a Romany Gypsy wagon that was done by Apple associates The Fool.

The car was sold to Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum and last we heard it is shown at the Royal BC Museum in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

2 questions for you: 1. Wouldn’t it be fun to have this car to use for a weekend? and B. Did you ever paint your car with a little ‘color’?
