The Doors released their 3rd LP “Waiting For The Sun” on July 11, 1968. The album included the hit single “Hello, I Love You” which became a #1 song in the US and the album would also top the charts for 4 weeks,

The song “Hello, I Love You” reminded a lot of people of a song by The Kinks “All Day and All of the Night”. The Doors’ Ray Manzarek even agreed with those people. The Kinks / Ray Davies never sued the band over it but they did reach an agreement that Mr. Davies would receive a percentage of the money from the sales of the record in the UK.

The LP also included the song “Unknown Soldier”.

Any of you still listen to this LP?

Happy 50th Birthday to The Doors LP “Waiting For The Sun”!!
