When you first heard the song “Hanky Panky” by Tommy James and the Shondells, what did you think they were singing about when Tommy sang “My baby does the hanky panky?”

52 years ago today, when the new Billboard Top 100 Chart came out, “Hanky Panky” was the new #1 song in the US. It would stay there for 2 weeks when it would be knocked out by The Troggs “Wild Thing” (another song with an ‘unsure’ meaning).

Ahh, the Summer of 1966…. 52 years later do you still think it means the same thing?
