He wrote songs for, Elvis Presley, Three Dog Night, (1971 US No.1 ‘Joy To The World’), John Denver, Ringo Starr, Glen Campbell. His mother Mae Boren Axton wrote ‘Heartbreak Hotel’. Read it here
