Before the ‘Woodstock’ movie was released in March of 1970, not a lot of people in the US had heard of Ten Years After. Once the movie was out and people saw the guys blazing through “I’m Going Home”, they had instant stardom.

On Feb. 22, 1969, a full 6 months before they appeared at the Woodstock festival in Aug. of ‘that year, they released their 2nd studio LP “Stonedhenge”. Most everybody just thought it referred to the stone structures in England. Very few saw the difference in the spelling. The album was titled “STONEDhenge’. Wonder what they meant by that?

How many of you can honestly say that you were following TYA before you saw the “Woodstock” movie?

Happy 49th Birthday to Ten Years After’s “Stonedhenge” LP!! Here are two different album covers. The dual gatefold was UK / Europe and the single cover was US.
