On Feb. 25, 1963, Vee Jay records released the first US single / 45 by the then-unknown Beatles, “Please Please Me” b/w “Ask Me Why.” It went nowhere on the charts or on the radio. It is however one of the most collectable of all the Beatles’ records because the record company spelled the bands name wrong on the label. They had The “Beattles.”

How many of you have this one in your collection?

Happy 55th Birthday to the release of the first 45 single by The Beatles.
