It was one of the definitive albums of a generation.

On May 29, 1969, Crosby, Stills & Nash released their debut LP. It was one of the first popular albums that got away from the loud guitars and pop melodies. And people were ready for it.

All of the songs on the record were written by the band members. The only non-band member to get any writing credit on the LP was Jefferson Airplane’s Paul Kantner who was a co-writer on “Wooden Ship”.

This album changed the way pop culture looked at music. And then they played at Woodstock…..

Happy 49th Birthday to Crosby, Stills & Nash’s debut album. Do you remember the first time you heard this record?
