On July 21, 1972, T.Rex released their 7th studio album “The Slider”. The LP was produced by Tony Visconti and it was the band’s second record released with their new glam rock style opposed to the band’s previous folk oriented music.

It is well known the Flo & Eddie ( Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan of The Turtles and The Mothers of Invention) did backing vocals on this record.

The record was recorded in a studio outside of Paris to get around some UK tax laws. Flo & Eddie did their vocals in a studio in LA.

Were you a T-Rex / Marc Bolan fan?

Happy 46th Birthday to “The Slider”!!!
