Can you imagine Alice Cooper saying something bad about disco?
On July 27, 1979, an Indian art store in Scottsdale, Arizona owned by Alice was hit by a fire bomb that was thrown through a rear window. Over $200,000 worth of native American artifacts were destroyed, as well as some of his gold records which there.
Alice said the biggest loss was $75,000 worth of Hopi Indian dolls.
Alice felt he knew why the store was attacked. He said “Maybe it was some disco-music freak. I’ve been making some positive anti-disco remarks lately.”
This happened 39 years ago today. Alice is still touring. Been to a disco lately?
