The 25th Anniversary Woodstock concert, entitled “Woodstock ’94,” began on Aug. 12, 1994. It was held in Saugerties, NY, with over 30 bands playing for a crowd of about 350,000.

Performers from the original Woodstock appearing at Woodstock ’94 were The Band, Santana, Joe Cocker, Country Joe McDonald, John Sebastian, surviving members of Sweetwater, and Crosby, Stills & Nash. Additionally, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady of Jefferson Airplane, and Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, all Woodstock alumni, also appeared at the latter festival, performing with the Band on guitar; bass; and guitar and vocals, respectively.

The multi-day show is a huge success, with little hint of the violence that would mar the 30th anniversary concert.

How many of you went tho this one? And, did any of you make it to both the first and the 25th?

Woodstock was just about 25 years old, 24 years ago today…. Where has the time gone?
