One of the great guitar players of our time and a man who helped create the San Francisco 'Psychedelic Sound', John Cipollina would have turned 75 years old today. John was a founding member of Quicksilver Messenger Service. After he left QMS, he played with a number of other bands, most notably Copperhead.
John had a very unique guitar / amp set up that help him create his signature sound. It is now on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. John however was never inducted there.
John passed away on May 29, 1989. He was only 45 years old.
