When the new Billboard album chart came out on Oct. 24, 1970, Santana's 2nd LP "Abraxas" was the new number 1 album in the US. The record featured the songs "Oye Como Va", "Hope You're Feeling Better" and an incredible cover of Peter Green's "Black Magic Woman."

The record only was #1 for that week as it was knocked out of the top spot the following week by "Led Zeppelin III." Zep III stayed on top of the charts for 4 weeks until it was knocked out by the return of "Abraxas" which would remain the #1 album for the rest of the year.

Remember the first time you heard "Black Magic Woman / Gypsy Queen"? Was it by Santana?
