Here is a great story about the early days of The Beatles. It has been told for ever. Is it really true….?

We sometimes wonder why Oct. 28th is not "Raymond Jones Day". It should be an international holiday. Here's why we say this.

According to the Beatles' manager, Brian Epstein, on Oct. 28, 1961, Raymond Jones went to Epstein's Liverpool record store, NEMS, and requested a copy of the Beatles singing "My Bonnie." The record was a 45 the group had cut in Hamburg, Germany with singer Tony Sheridan.

Epstein was impressed that someone would ask for a record by a local group but was only available as an import. He decided to find the band, which he did at the Cavern Club.

It wasn't long after the The Beatles agreed to hire Brian.

Thank you Raymond! We often wonder how big The Beatles would have become without Brian.

So, we'll start it. Happy Raymond Jones Day!!!

Now, let's hear your version….
