The Beatles – A Day In The Life

January 19, 1967: During the early days of the sessions for what would become the "Sgt. Pepper" album, The Beatles began recording Lennon's new song "In The Life of…" at Abbey Road studios London. They recording four takes of the song; with four more sessions between now and the end of February, it would take a total of 34 hours to complete it, which was, of course, released under the new title, "A Day in the Life."
