February 14, 1972: John Lennon and Yoko Ono began a one-week co-hosting stint on the Mike Douglas Show. The usually safe and staid mid-day talk show got a jolt as Lennon talked about music, drugs, politics and the U.S. government`s attempts to deport him. The special guests that week included Chuck Berry, activist Jerry Rubin and the Black Panther leader Bobby Seal.
