The Big Facebook Advertising Scam – Don’t Waste Your Money!
Written by megarock on October 6, 2025
So since it’s clear that Facebook is on a big, fast downhill slide and it’s clear that they really believe they don’t have to care about how they treat the users or how they scam the people who advertise there it’s about time it starts getting exposed because there is no way possible Facebook does not know this massive scam is going on considering all the ways normal users have to jump0 through hoops while scammers seem to have free reign. It’s also crazy that outright scams, when reported, come back as ‘no problem with Community Standards’ even after a second review – but you DUPLICATE that same post and FB hammers you and tells you that YOU are violating their so called standards. Clear as a bell Facebook is either directly involved in this scam or they are willing to ignore it for some financial reasons.
Meanwhile people and companies pay some pretty high prices to run ads on FB. Many of them appear in Marketplace. Now imagine you are spending all this money to run ads and some scammer has ads right next to yours, posted for free and not just a few but tens, hundreds… no joke here.. HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS ACROSS THE USA?
Let’s give an example here. Go to Marketplace in your town. In the search box type HANDYMAN. Do you see something like this?
And it’s not just a few ads. Scroll. Keep scrolling. And scroll some more. Keep seeing it, don’t you?
No joke. And this is just around your town. This same thing is happening coast to coast across the entire USA. A never ending slew of accounts, all fake, all posting 20-100+ ads and all somehow tied together to receive direct messages. This is a very elaborate and very widespread operation and somehow Facebook doesn’t notice it?
So, it’s clearly against the rules for this to be happening. If you or I attempt to post an ad like this the filter immediately stops you, tells you that you have violated the Community Standards rule of promoting a business in Marketplace without paying for an ad. So, let’s report any of all of these ads. What happens?
Yep, this is the problem with Facebook. They clearly allow scammers to flood post Marketplace with completely free ads and none are even an actual company – every single ad is the same operation which is a lead generation service. They then sell your lead to random contractors and get rich off your personal information being sold. Do you notice the random Sponsored Ads for the same exact work from time to time in that massive mess of flooded post? If you even do those are people who have been dumb enough to invest in advertising on a platform when all they really need to do is contact the guy doing all the spamming and let them do it for free.
So if you are reading this and have ever spent money on advertising on the Meta platform did you know you were being ripped off so blindly? Where are the class action lawsuit guys when you need them. If you are out there feel free to contact me at paintsaintlouis @ outlook.com.
In a coming post I will show everyone all the tracking Facebook does on them not only on Facebook but through other websites using their cookies and fingerprinting and of course through your phone apps. Meta is in the business not of being a social media website but a company that collects your personal information and sells it to anyone they can get to pay money for it without a care in the world.
Imagine if people stopped giving Meta their data and advertisers stopped getting ripped off by that horrible company?
