Björn Strid (SOILWORK, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA),Dino “Jelusick” Jelusić (ex-WHITESNAKE),Mats Levén (CANDLEMASS, TREAT, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN),Pontus Egberg (KING DIAMOND),Joakim Svalberg (OPETH),Linnea Wikström Egg (THUNDERMOTHER, THERION) and Kee Marcello (ex-EUROPE, EASY ACTION) are among the more than 20 musicians who took part in the 2026 edition of the “Stargazer Alliance” memorial concert for Ronnie James Dio, which was held this past Saturday (May 16) at Bibliotek Bar & Restaurang in Medborgarplatsen, Stockholm, Sweden. The non-profit charity event in aid of the Cancerfonden, the Swedish Cancer Society, featured performances of many of Dio‘s classic hits from RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH and DIO. Ronnie James Dio, best known for his work with BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW and his own band DIO, died of stomach cancer just over 15 years ago (May 16, 2010) at the age of 67.
